Tukaram, Poem 3452

Threaten me not, O mind of mine; I have
turned my back on the cares of the world.
Whatever plans men form, though they be guiltless,
lead to sin. They engender fear, they bring
tribulation on the soul. Tuka says, Whatever
happens, I will look on; I will dwell in peace.
