Tukaram, Poem 3422

Nay, faith is not like the labour of a man impressed;
no unproductive means do I adopt.
I do not merely attach thy form to my soul; my
innermost desire is set on thee. As a miser counts
his coppers, so I count my time by minutes and
seconds. O Lord of the world, says Tuka, stand
close by my side.
