As long as a man has not subdued his senses,
what is the use of his crying ‘Rama’? When
food is tainted by a fly, it is not pleasant to eat it.
If a man is to preach, his acts should correspond to
what he sets forth. If such proof is not to be
found in him, his preaching is no better than a
song sung by a whore’s handmaid. Tuka says,
The saints will not let worldly passions
contaminate them.
