Tukaram, Poem 3331

Sincerity alone passes muster with us; we look
on everything else as waste of labour. Who
would value pleasant speeches as long as he cannot
make out the mind of him who utters them? Tuka
says, All our troubles arise from knowledge; we
ought not even to look on this evil creature.
