Tukaram, Poem 3290

The end of life is sweetened by Thee, so on Thee I fix my affection. I shall pay no heed to pains and pleasures; they are the body’s heavy lot; but within the body I shall make a dwelling-place for Thee. Thy strength will set us free from toil and desire; we need not multiply our cares. Tuka says, Now we are crushed by their weight; but with You, of a surety, there is power divine.
