Tukaram, Poem 3268

A friendly quarrel ends in no triumph of either side, though the words sound harsh. The father is grieved by his son’s grief; they live with one life between them. Nothing can break the close bond of their love; no enmity can place a barrier between them. Tuka says, If I utter a piteous cry, the Cherisher of the Universe will draw near to me.
