Tukaram, Poem 3266

What we lack, our mother provides and brings us, while she sings songs to comfort us. All pleasures come round to us where we are. Wherever we choose to stay, as our own inclinations prompt us, in that very spot we look our best. We have plucked up by the roots the tree of desire; all sinful wishes we have banished. Tuka says, Vitthala, the mother of her worshippers, will cast her shade upon us.
