Tukaram, Poem 3172

I have called myself thine; before whom else should I stand? It would not look well in Me to go elsewhere. Time has long been pursuing me; He will not let me stand with steady purpose before Thee. Bear not in mind my store of merits past; to purify the sinful is Thy part. Tuka says, I marvel that others should have power to control me so long as I am praying to Thee.
