Tukaram, Poem 3134

His alone is the favour thou shouldest show us—to let us lay our burden upon Thee.
When hungry, men cry out for food; when they are cold, they need clothing. Whenever a desire arises within us, at once we cry to Thee for what we want.
Let not sorrow visit our house; keep Thy chakra whirling round it.
Tuka says, I desire not liberation; I would rejoice to be born into the world.
