Tukaram, Poem 3115

If we call ourselves Thine, then Thou wilt be blamed when we fall short. That a man who has drunk nectar should die—is this in accordance with divine law? Beneath the tree of wishes, need beggars keep their bags tied up? When a man has found the magic stone, says Tuka, need he die of hunger?
