Tukaram, Poem 3019

My soul is held fast by the oppression of desire, regrets of many kinds are present in my mind. Like a pressed labourer, I see no fruit of my toil; I am stiff and cramped by the cold. Tuka says, I have no influence at Thy feet; my sins are overpowering and keep me from meeting Thee.
