Tukaram, Poem 2991

O mind of mine, bury thyself in God’s feet; do not stray abroad as the senses impel thee! All happiness is centered there; time and the cycle of time cannot end it. The going, coming, and running of rebirth will cease; we shall have no mountains to cross. I have this only to tell thee, Look on wealth and women as though they were poison. Tuka says, We shall be grateful to you if we cross the stream of the world.
