Tukaram, Poem 2921

The burden of our worldly cares you carry and you enable us to carry; O, Infinite One, we have none but Thee! In the Gita, with beat of drums, the word is proclaimed that God undertakes to acquire and preserve for His worshippers. He, the four-handed, adorns Arjuna’s horses, and acts as his charioteer. Through love of devotion he assumed the part of an eater of corpses; he made Tuka a fixed star in the firmament.
