Tukaram, Poem 2919

It is reported in all the world that a temple was turned round, that the milk in Namdeva’s hand was drunk up. A cheque drawn by Narsi Mehta was cashed; the fields of Dhanjijat were sown. To save Mirabai, a cup of poison was drained; he turned himself into a Mahara messenger for Damoji. He assisted at Kabira’s loom in weaving lace; a potter’s child he brought to life. Show me now Thy mercy, says Tuka, O king of Pandhari!
