Tukaram, Poem 2769

Set no sinful desire before my eyes! Better I were blind! Let my ears listen to no scandal; make me rather deaf, O God! Let me never lust after other men’s wives; better this clay were removed from the earth! Tuka says, I abhor everything; I find my pleasure in Gopala alone.
