Tukaram, Poem 2677

Supported by the testimony of my own
mind I relate what has happened to me, in
the story of all my life. It is for You, in virtue of
your power, to take kindly care of us; if you hold
us aloof, how can we live? Why else was it that I
left the word of ‘I’ and ‘mine,’ O generous
one! Tuka says, Without Your help we are left to
destiny in the world.
