Tukaram, Poem 2651

So unfordable is the stream of life that we know not how to cross it. The savage beasts of lust and wrath fill us with dread. The eddies of illusion and desire whirl formidably round us. The billows of desire surge up; worldly transactions toss men to and fro. As the only means of passage, Tuka seats himself in the boat of the name.
