Tukaram, Poem 2645

Once he has seized your blanket, he will not give it up, no, not for your life.
Collo! There is a thief in the house! Run and catch him; he is rummaging the four corners. I have caught him, but I cannot tell who he is; I have lit a lamp, I have kindled a wick in my body. It is no use running, you won’t catch him; I stand crying aloud; Tuka is robbed of all his worldly wealth.
What, O God, shall I wear now? What others had given me, that too I have lost.
