Tukaram, Poem 2566

Hearing another man's name, some foolish fellow takes it for a bad omen and fears to rise himself. At a deathbed, not perceiving the crisis, someone says, “Stop sneezing, or the worst will happen.” At dinner time another, not understanding what he is doing, annoys people by mentioning some occasion when he vomited. Tuka says, An ill-starred man cannot control his evil qualities; how many details shall I place before you?
