If a man seeks to know God in the house of
the learned, there the spirit of Self pursues
him. Hence I have given up such courses, I have
embraced Thy feet. The learned in the Vedas, the
eloquent do not agree with each other. I went to
see what faith was in them who worship the Self
within them, there I found their behaviour false to
their professions. Ascetics and guides give way
to wrath, they are not at peace within themselves.
