Tukaram, Poem 2488

A designing knave omits to make cakes and offers his guests boiled rice. As is this man's behaviour, such is the distance that parts him from the goal. He commemorates the days when his father died; his own life is sterile. Tuka says, Avarice will prevent any sense from accomplishing its end.
