Tukaram, Poem 2469

What nonsense would a crazy man fail to utter? A hungry man does not remark whether food is sweet or tasteless. None takes care of himself save he whose understanding is awake; let us have done with the uproar of the world. A needy man does not know his true interest, he is willing to harass any one. Tuka says, They will have to bear the effects of their past acts; how many have a wakeful store of merit?
