If a man should absently tie his waist cloth round his neck, everyone would laugh at him. If he puts on his clothes properly people will be on good terms with him. If we keep wide awake, no one will have any occasion to laugh at us. If we do not take care of our person it soon falls into disorder; we keep it neat and clean for fear of people round us. It is well to keep our eyes open, to save ourselves from vexation. O Narayana, you have saved me from shame, says Tuka.
