Tukaram, Poem 2435

The wishing tree can give men only the fruit they desire; if your faith is weak and woeful your gains will be the same. Blest indeed were they who stored up Narayana in their hearts. Water brings from the seed a shoot corresponding to itself; the properties of the one are like those of the other. Tuka says, A jeweller knows a diamond; an ass notices not the load of sandal on his back.
