Tukaram, Poem 2339

In the body is a heap of filth and ordure; kindred are the acquisitions the mind makes for itself. How can a blind man see precious gems? To one who cannot taste them sweets are tasteless. Can poison change its nature however you garnish it? It is well to keep it far from the mouth. Tuka says, What can advice profit a fool? If you keep company with buffaloes you will suffer for it.
