Tukaram, Poem 2268

Our means of liberation obey our orders ; with
servants their master’s authority is unques-
tionable. The sun lights up the world with his
rays, yet the actions of men do not cling to him.
Talking is nothing ; we must act ; excellent preaching may turn to harm. Tuka says, My capital is
ready to my hand ; how many go wandering about
for their principles !
