Tukaram, Poem 2073

Our entanglements with the world have in view the praise of men; they are in no way connected with God. When the mind is thrown into confusion, the form is dissolved from sight; as great as is the name so great is the sin of succumbing to material things. Tuka says, God embraces us lovingly and lifts us up and sets us near Him.
