Tukaram, Poem 2071

Lo! how many have sought Thee and Thou hast made them like Thyself. Thou hast not considered any man’s faults or merits. Give me a resting place with Thee, O God! Thou hast not considered men’s race or behaviour; when Thou art ready to clear away a burden Thou dost not call a stone a stone. Tuka says, O Thou who knowest all, when it has entered thy mind thou hast swept away grievous sins that have fallen upon us.
