Tukaram, Poem 1961

I heard Thy praise from the mouth of the saints, so I came and stayed in this spot. Thou shouldest treat the saints of to-day like those of the past; thou shouldest not turn a stranger to them. Our reliance on Thy name is our source of confidence; if that be lost there will be no vestige left of the other. There should be no sense of difference between us, says Tuka; O Lord of Pandhari, listen to this request!
