Tukaram, Poem 1947

I have grown callous through obstinate disputes; how is it Narayana knows this not? You have cast away the love that was like a family love between us; you have caused my head to be broken by the acts of my past. I was caught in a strait; I gave up my own soul; this was how I renounced the world. How can I say you failed me, says Tuka; I have no love for pride, O God!
