Tukaram, Poem 1938

Effect my salvation or acknowledge defeat; stand fast, O God, by the words you have once spoken. My doubts will be dispelled; all the reproaches and challenges to God source of them lies at thy feet. I have clung fast to Thee; I myself know nothing; I know not when the star of my good fortune will rise. Tuka says, I am sorely cast down; I cry to Thee, O God, for mercy.
