Tukaram, Poem 1897

If thou knowest the workings of the heart, why
didst thou suffer me to think of serving thee,
whereas now thou disdainest me? Ere ever I had
broken up my home, thou hadst given me a place
by Thy feet and suffered my faith to rest there,
says Tuka.
