Tukaram, Poem 1874

I have no pleasure in day or night, I am
covered with shame, I dislike to speak.
Words without savour are like puffs of wind;
we are angered by dishonour shown us. The
mind weeps over itself till it is choked; then it
is hushed. Tuka says, You know all this; why
do I carry on this idle contention?
