Tukaram, Poem 1850

Our sins in the past have brought us to birth again. So let us not bear this pain for nothing; what avails it to be angry with God? We know the world is a source of pain, so we must not let it trouble our minds. Let us remember His name, says Tuka, and thus forget the pangs of life.
