Tukaram, Poem 1842

It is an inheritance of ours to be born and die; if thou wilt destroy it, we shall know Thou art great.
Stand up and advance Thy reasons, true or false; we may be censured for shameless boldness.
We mean to put both you and us on a level; I say I am like Thee, O God.
I have found the secret, says Tuka; now I shall crush all doubts.
