Tukaram, Poem 1837

The rush of impulse has sunk to rest; this bundle of my body has disappeared in Narayana.
I am well assured that I shall never pass through the womb again. In our own names we shall live no more; God has taken from us our pride in ourselves.
Tuka says, Even while we were glorying in ourselves, there was one whose authority dispelled our glorying.
