Tukaram, Poem 1723

Will fail to happen if he that supports
the world shall ordain it? His servants
are poor yet they are not ashamed. I have failed
to approach Him, else how could he disregard me?
Those that meditate on His name He saves from
dwelling in the womb; He suffers not His servants
to expect the help of others. Tuka says, I know
not how many have seemed to perish, and yet
Panduranga has saved them.
