Tukaram, Poem 1663

When Thou takest service from anyone, it is service beyond measure; when Thou givest, O God, Thou givest without measure. How can I provide myself so great a capital? When anyone comes to me, I satisfy him with words. When Thou leavest us, Thou leavest us far from thee; when Thou drawest near, Thou dwellest in the very heart. Tuka says, Thou art a friend to Thyself alone; affection can make Thee a debtor to us.
