Tukaram, Poem 1655

By strength, intelligence and skill we devise
means to make water flow in certain chan-
nels; it has no motion of its own, but it flows
rapidly down the slopes. Canals, moats, pots, bags
and pipes of leather it fills. Tuka says, Whatever
seed it enters, it takes on itself the nature of that
seed.
