Tukaram, Poem 1579

I have passed beyond courtesies; speak of
them no more. Things must be as they are
to be; I salute you when I meet you. Who would
care to mix with the world, whose wants and
notions and ways are so various? Tuka lives by
himself and leaves people’s opinions alone.
