Tukaram, Poem 1573 o

Lakshmi, who
and he who eats, the doer and he who sets him in
motion, both are God Himself, whose own nature
fulfils His desires. It is He who pervades the
universe that watches over us, He is pressing the
Bramhanas to eat. At every mouthful, says Tuka,
let us utter the name of Govinda; it is enough that
the worshippers eat—God eats through them.
