Tukaram, Poem 1434

Such faith as once I had I have not now, to concentrate my mind. My mind testifies to this, I see a loss of my capital before me. I think of the faults of others whom I see round me, to exalt myself thereby. I am like a cook, says Tuka, who goes on scratching the dung-hill and knows not if he is gaining anything or not.
