Tukaram, Poem 1363

Unreal fears were shown to me; my soul
was depressed. When I was born and the
world knew it, they raised an idle noise over
me. I was imprisoned on all sides, but at last
I struggled near to Thee. Tuka says, Thy own
friends brought me face to face with Thee.
