Tukaram, Poem 1269

Kanha has bid me milk the cow whose udders
are filled: “Take that milk and divide it
carefully amid your friends.” I have done as he
bade me; this is no religion founded on sacred rule.
Tuka says, I do not distinguish old rules from new;
who could endure to be drawing this distinction?
