Tukaram, Poem 1243

They had their fill of Hari’s company. They would give him their own food, and eat what he gave them. He does not leave the debt of gratitude unpaid; he hungers for their love. He is resolved to live along with them. “Haribo, eat many a morsel with us,” they say. The simple cowherds love God dearly. Tuka says, Now we will go home; we will say, “You have saved us, O generous one!”
