Tukaram, Poem 1174

False teachers have set upon me; now therefore what shall I say, O Vitthala? They are
like an eater of onions who wishes for musk, and
forgets that he is as poor as a beggar. They torment me with questions of things they comprehend
not; though I fall at their feet, they will not leave
me. I know nothing but Thy feet; thou alone art
all in all to me. Tuka says, Would a nail were
driven through their lips! How often must I speak
to these quarrelsome disputants?
