Cursed be the outward show, that vanishes like a butterfly. The daughter-in-law weeps for her husband’s mother, but her inner feeling is different. A hypocrite is smooth tongued, but his inner purpose is different. He is like the Vrindavana fruit, which looks handsome, but is not safe to touch. A heron assumes a contemplating attitude, but his object is to catch fish. Tuka says, Like a serpent waving his head, he pretends to be delighted with the service of God.
