Tukaram, Poem 945

One who sells his daughter, his cow or his
sermon, he is rightly called a low-caste
wretch. The standards of goodness are merits and
demerits; God considers not a man’s caste. Tuka
says, They who do unlawful deeds, these are they
who go down into hell.
