Tukaram, Poem 943

A Vaishnava is one who loves God alone,
who puts no trust in anything else; body,
wealth and his fellow-men are but a straw to him.
Though he be afflicted, yet he fails not in his
purpose, because he is thoroughly resolved. Tuka
says, His caste may be anything at all.
