Tukaram, Poem 655

Let the burden of knowledge rest on God’s head;
it is well for us to be ignorant as we are. As
he looks upon us, he enjoys our amusing pranks;
on both sides there is a growing delight. His
dear little ones feel no painful doubt; their minds
are set on play, their thoughts are one with His.
Tuka says, Nothing hinders us in any direction;
our diversions are known in the skies.
